Massachusetts Child Support Guidelines

by Ponichtera & DeNardis, P.C. on 04/02/15

In August 2013 revised Child Support Guidelines were issued by the Massachusetts Trial Court which supersede all previous versions of the Guidelines.  These Child Support Guidelines provide a means to calculate child support in Massachusetts.  In accordance with recent case law, if your present child support order differs from the amount to be calculated from these guidelines, the revised guidelines control,  and the Court must modify the order in accordance with the guidelines, unless reasons for a deviation exist.  Reasons for deviation are set out in the guidelines.  For assistance in determining how the Child Support Guidelines may apply to your particular situation, please contact us for a free consultation.
